Straight Bevel Gear
A straight bevel gear, also known as a bevel or miter gear, transfers motion and torque between non-parallel axes. Its cone-shaped design enables efficient rotational force transmission between intersecting gears.

Miter gears are a subtype of straight bevel gears with axes intersecting at a 90-degree angle and a 1:1 gear ratio. They excel at right-angle power transmission and are commonly used in power tools and automotive differentials.
Straight bevel gears have teeth parallel to the gear axis and transmit lower speeds and torques compared to helical bevel gears. They come in Standard and Gleason configurations, with Gleason gears offering improved tooth contact and load distribution.
When integrating a bevel gear system, careful bearing selection is crucial to withstand axial and radial forces. Choosing the right bearings ensures the reliable and efficient performance of the gear system.
